چکیده

Objective: To study the association between cervical insufficiency and single nucleotide polymorphisms in seven genes coding for proand anti-inflammatory cytokine-related factors, mannose-binding lectin 2 (MBL2) , collagen1α1 (COL1A1) , factor II and factor V Leiden genes. Methods: In a case-control study, potential maternal biomarkers for cervical insufficiency were investigated in 30 women with a history of second-trimester miscarriage or preterm birth due to cervical insufficiency and in 70 control women. Results: Homozygous carriers of the interleukin 6 (IL6) –174 genotype GG had an odds ratio (OR) of 3.1 [95% confidence interval (95% CI) 1.3–7.4, p = 0.01] and MBL2 genotypes coding for low or intermediate levels of plasma MBL had an OR of 3.3 (95% CI 1.2–9.0, p = 0.01) for cervical insufficiency compared with controls. Serum MBL levels were lower in women with cervical insufficiency than in controls (median 408 and 1,985 ng/ml, respectively, p < 0.01). P 144: Sunflower Mannose binding Lectin-Associated Serine Protease Inhibitor-1 (SFMI-1) and -2: Significant Inhibitors of Mannose binding Lectin Pathway which Helps in Multiple Sclerosis Treatment

One of the important parts of innate immunity is complement system that occurs in three different ways; the classic, the alternative and the lectin pathway. The four pattern recognition molecules that have been identified till now are Mannose binding lectin (MBL), a component of lectin pathway, and three ficolins (ficolin1,-2 and -3) which compound to the carbohydrates of the cell surface. MBL ...

Immunological and genetic characterization of women with vulvodynia

Vulvodynia is a complex disorder and described as discomfort or intense burning pain in the vulvar area. Such chronic pain affects 5 to 15% of women and many suffer of misdiagnosis. For sure the aetiology is multifactorial. Through few studies we consider the inflammatory response plays a major role. There is a genetic profile of women suffering of vulvodynia, especially genetic polymorphisms f...

P-233: Study of Chromosomal Alterations and Polymorphisms of MTHFR, Factor V and Prothrombin Genes in Patients with Recurrent Miscarriage Referred to Royan Institute

Background: Recurrent miscarriage (RM) is defined as two or more consecutive pregnancy losses before 20 weeks of gestation as an important clinical problem, with an incidence of 1-3% among couples wishing to have children. There are several factors in the etiology of recurrent miscarriage. One of the main genetic causes which involve in the pathogenesis of RM is balanced chromosomal rearrangeme...
